ArcaBoard 2
The second generation of ArcaSpace's personal electric flying vehicle.

The ArcaBoard 2 is the latest evolution of the revolutionary ArcaBoard, released by ArcaSpace 10 years ago.
While personal flying vehicles are now a reality, the original ArcaBoard received huge media attention when it was released in 2015, essentially kick-starting the market for personal electric VTOL vehicles.
Now, ten years later, ArcaSpace's luxury fashion brand, ArcaFashion, is introducing the ArcaBoard 2. This new model has been designed to greatly increase the original's endurance, speed, and range.
While the original ArcaBoard was intended primarily for recreational and military use, the ArcaBoard 2 is designed for utility applications.
Airframe
The ArcaBoard 2 is made from the same composite materials that ArcaSpace uses to manufacture rockets and spacecraft. This creates a structure that is very lightweight, yet stiff and resilient. The structure of the ArcaBoard 2 alone weighs only 30 kg.
The vehicle comprises two main sections: the fuselage and the side propulsion nacelles.
The fuselage houses the pilot, who is positioned prone. The pilot is protected by a frontal halo structure and a 10 cm thick composite and foam structure on the sides.
The pilot enjoys good front, side and downward visibility, making the most of the benefits of flying in the prone position.

Propulsion
The ArcaBoard 2 is a machine that is lifted by six outrunner electric motors with ducted propellers, offering a maximum total thrust of 160 kgf.
Each motor is powered at 42V by Li-Po batteries.
The composite-material ducted propeller offers around 20% higher thrust than an open propeller, further increasing the propulsion system’s efficiency.

Flight control
The ArcaBoard 2 offers complete freedom of movement in all directions.
Similar to a motorcycle, the vehicle is controlled by shifting the rider's centre of gravity to adjust the pitch and roll.
Yaw control is achieved using two EDF thrusters at the rear of the vehicle.
The throttle lever is operated by the pilot in a manner similar to that of a fighter jet. Pushing the throttle lever forward increases thrust and causes the vehicle to move up, while pushing it backward decreases thrust and causes the vehicle to move down.

The most natural flying position
The ArcaBoard 2 is designed for a prone riding position.
We chose this position over a sitting position because we feel that it is best suited to the most intimate flying experience. Looking down at our feet while flying would obstruct our vision and detract from the experience, so we wanted to avoid it.
When we dream of flying during sleep, we don't dream of flying with our backs to the ground. We dream of flying with our chests facing the ground and looking down freely.
Birds also fly with their chests facing the ground. Not to mention, the most famous flying superheroes, such as Superman and Iron Man, also fly prone.
With the ArcaBoard 2, therefore, we aimed to offer the pilot the most intimate flying experience possible.

Available colours
The ArcaBoard 2 is available in three colours: red, white and black.
The red and white options have a glossy finish, while the black option has a matte finish.
All colours can be ordered with additional illuminated stripes.
